Tendr Supports Grads Against Gun Violence
by Karina Parikh
On March 24th, thousands of people around the country participated in March for Our Lives, a youth-led movement to end gun violence. But the support doesn’t have to stop now that the march is over. At Tendr, it's our mission to connect a special occasion with a cause that means the most to you and raise funds both easily and beautifully. With our Grads Against Gun Violence campaign, we encourage you to support the movement by donating your high school or college graduation to gun safety advocates or making a donation in a graduate’s name.
Graduation is a time to look back on the accomplishments of the past and look forward to the future. It’s a perfect time, then, for graduates, their families, and their friends to take a moment and support the causes that mean the most to them. Grads Against Gun Violence is an easy way to make a clear stance against gun violence, and ensure a safer future for children across the United States. To help donors make an even bigger impact on this important cause, we’re waiving our standard $3 fee.
The process is simple: new graduates can set up a special Give:Tendr account here and designate one or more organizations of their choice to donate any portion of their cash gifts. Featured partners include Everytown for Gun Safety, Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, Newtown Action Alliance, Sandy Hook Promise, and The Coalition Against Gun Violence.
You can also make a donation for a graduate to any organization even if they don’t have a Give:Tendr account set up. You don’t need to be a new grad or know one to support your favorite gun safety cause, either. Anyone can make a donation in anyone’s name.
Join us in saying #neveragain by raising funds to stop gun violence today.
